Last month I went on an adventure to the absolutely magical Lofoten in Norway. Norway was somewhere I had always wanted to visit but have never gotten the chance, and wow was I in love. The cloudy skies and jagged hills reminded me so much of Scotland but the light was even more beautiful. The trip passed in a haze of beautiful landscapes and amazing company. Chasing light as the sun passes between the clouds and the insane beauty of the landscapes.

The wedding photography industry is so fast paced, it’s important for me as a photographer to keep learning and growing. When I seen a workshop with Nordica Photography and Sisters in Law I knew it would be the perfect opportunity to push myself as a photographer. I feel like we all learnt from each other taking the lead in directing the couples and putting our own styles into the shots.

Eloping to Norway and bringing a photographer with you allows you to focus on your love as a couple. Elopements are so intimate and emotional… there’s nothing more special than just being with the two of you totally lost in the moment, surrounded by beauty in every direction. One great aspect of eloping is the flexibility you have to do what you want, as opposed to at the average wedding day which is stuck to a timeline of the day and just have fun! Your day will still fly by, be sure to soak up every moment and treasure the photos from your incredible day.
