A gorgeous Autumn Edinburgh wedding at Lothian Chambers and Apex Hotel – Kirsty & Justin

EDINBURGH WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY  – A gorgeous Autumn Edinburgh wedding at Lothian Chambers and Apex Hotel, Waterloo Place.

I remember meeting Kirsty and Justin for the first time and them telling me how nervous they said they were about being photographed – you wouldn’t guess that from the photos and their wedding turned out to be one of my faves from this year. I feel my work has really come on in leaps and bounds this year.

They had a stunning mild but windy and crisp Autumn Edinburgh day for the wedding with lots of beautiful blue sky and some small showers in the morning. I started of photographing the girls getting their hair done by the awesome Circles Bridal Hair and the make up by Rosie Fraser  who I have worked with before and love her work. Both did an incredible job of making the girls look their best and their hair and make up looked amazing by the end of the celebrations!

I then went to join Justin and the boys plus his family at the Apex Waterloo Place where they were getting ready.
They needed a little help from you tube with the button pins!
It was then back to the girls to snap the last shots of them getting ready.
How gorgeous were the autumnal colours of the bouquets? Perfect for Autumn weddings!
They hired the Vintage Red Bus for their transport to the venue and for a tour later on in the day. So exciting!
Whilst the girls gathered themselves together for the ceremony it was off to take some snaps of the guests at the amazing Lothian Chambers. It was my first time photographing there but brought back lots of great memories from when my brother got married almost 2 years before.
It was then time for a bus tour round Edinburgh on the vintage Red Bus!
…with a pit stop at the top of Arthurs Seat for some photos. It was so so windy!
It was then back to the Apex for the evening celebrations!
Kirsty and Justin chose a ceilidh for the evening reception with their first dance starting it off. I love photographing the ceilidh dancing.
The day was monkey on a barrel loads of fun!!

I left them taking a peek at the guest book before partying the night away.

I still have space for 2015/16 bookings for anyone who got engaged over the festive period or looking for a wedding photographer! Please get in touch for more info.
