hello hello

So i finally have a much needed couple of days off from the day job. Apparently I had more holidays left than I thought I did. So mostlyI have been getting my fitness regieme back on track and catching up on various other bits of photography work and this evening I will be doing a mass update on my flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/cryptdang).

Here is my back end of 2011 best picks / highlights!

So  Edinburgh Fringe hit and I was mostly running around like an idiot trying to work, do burlesque shows (I got to perform at a show that my fave comedian Russell Kane was DJing at totally STOKED!) and shoot lots of fringe shows and shoot wedding photography contend for a project I was working on. Busy, much? Finding out I was getting made redundant from my part time day job on top of this was not a barrell of laughter.

And so to the photos……

Kitty Cointreau’s BraHaHa  (Just the Tonic @ The Caves)
Incredible mix of burlesque and comedy that I was thrilled to be a part of both photographing and performing. Here are some of my photo highlights – view the whole set here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cryptdang/sets/72157628999839081/
Comic Strip  – Assembly Dans Paleis
In my optinion this was easily the best burlesque show in the fringe this year. International burlesque starlets Gypsy Wood, Lada Redstarr, Missy Malone….. my favourite classic burlesque and some of the best comedians on the stand up circuit. Excellent.
I shot this show 3 times so here are some best picks… more over on my flickr here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/cryptdang/sets/72157629000768849/
Nina Nesbitt @ Below Stairs 28th August 2011
I went to see my friend and up and coming singer songwriter Nina play at Below Stairs with my friend Tom from Pegasus Bridge on guitar.
