STUNNING SCOTTISH BORDERS WEDDING AT AIKWOOD TOWER WITH A 1960S VINTAGE DRESS AND A BRIDE THAT LOOKS STRAIGHT OUT OF MAD MEN.

I always love gorgeous red haired bride and I’m always blessed with the best ones. I met Paula and John on a cold day at the start of the year at the Cameo Cinema and fell in love with their plans for their wedding at Aikwood Tower near Selkirk in the Scottish Borders.

You might recognise them from the sunny engagement shoot we did at the Botanic gardens back in June.

I started off snapping with John and the best man with a brief visit to the local!

It was then back to photograph Paula getting married, how stunning are her shoes?

Her dress was vintage and from the amazing Those Were the Days Vintage in Edinburgh.

VOWs nominee the amazing Emma Motion created Paula’s stunning wedding hair and make up.

Just as we were blessed with amazing weather for our engagement shoot, the weather was equally as sunny for the wedding day and the ceremony was held outside in the grounds of Aikwood Tower.

I used the amazing orchard and hedged arch for some couple shots.

I loved the slate plaques for the cards and the guestbook and all of the vintage family photos they had displayed.

The stunning old stables / barn area was perfect for the evening meal.

And there was a bit of after dinner croquet on the green!

Super happy smiley husband and wifey 🙂

First dance fun in the main hall of the tower.

I loved Paula’s vintage style, and you’ll agree she looks straight out of Mad Men 🙂
