A stylish Glasgow wedding during the Commonwealth games – Lorraine and Greg

GLASGOW WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER – Lorraine and Greg’s wedding at 29 Private Members Club Glasgow

Hello,

It’s not often that I meet someone with the same name as me (although mine is spelt a strange way!), so when Lorraine contacted me about her wedding I was excited from the start. I met up with them at their stunning reception venue 29 in Glasgow which I could easily see why they loved it!
 
I started snapping with Lorraine and her bridesmaids…
 
 
Then headed over to see the boys and a nervous looking Greg!
 
 
It was then over to St. Augustines Church for their beautiful ceremony. The church was incredible inside – I was totally blown away by the architecture and the detail inside. 
 
With it being the middle of the Commonwealth Games I left my car in Coatbridge and jumped on the bus into Glasgow for the reception. As I live in Edinburgh it was fantastic to be able to experience the buzz in Glasgow with the games, there was such a happy mood all over the city and as I was walking with them crowds of people were cheering and clapping. 
 
 
As Lorraine and Greg got engaged in 29 we arranged with the wedding coordinator to do some shots in the booth where Greg popped the question (massive thanks to Martin at 29 for being the most awesome wedding coordinator I have worked with and made my day an absolute dream – all the staff were so fantastic!). We managed to get outside and do some couple shots in Exchange Square in Glasgow in a brief gap where the showers stopped.
 
I took the formal shots in the venue as it was horrible and rainy outside but I’m so thrilled with how they turned out – 29 really is an amazing venue!
 
 
 
It was then time to dance the night away! 
 
 
I couldn’t resist taking a photo of the  Commonwealth Games sign at the end of a fun, unique and special day.
